Announcing The Next Generation Kurloo System And Website

We're seeing a pattern across more mining and civil projects lately. Teams are ticking the box with monitoring programs that are technically compliant, but not always adequate for their level of risk.

There’s either a methodology that could miss the earliest signs of movement, a frequency that’s too low to see a developing trend, or a system that needs specialist oversight the on-site team can't access.

Too often, the exact nature of the gap only becomes clear after you see visible signs something is wrong and you’re in damage limitation mode. At this point, you are playing catch-up: experiencing unnecessary project delays, consuming limited specialist skills, and seeing an overall loss in productivity that ends up costing far more than a well-designed and managed preventative approach to risk.

Of course, left unchecked, further inaction and delay can lead to catastrophic structural failure, critical disruption, and a threat to human safety that impacts your whole organisation and reputation.

More project teams today are sitting with the question, "How robust is our monitoring ecosystem, really?" The bar for adequate monitoring is moving. The question for teams in high-consequence settings isn't whether to fill the gap, but how.

Stressed Man Geomonitoring

What's new at Kurloo?

  • As we expand internationally, we want our name to clearly communicate our focus. We're phasing in Kurloo Geomonitoring as our trading name through our website and social handles. It’s the same team, and our existing contact details at Kurloo.io are still in place for now.
  • Our new and improved website has launched at kurloogeomonitoring.com with many of our customer’s questions answered. The site takes you through different monitoring methods and where they fit depending on the type of risk you're managing. Worth a look if you're thinking through your own monitoring ecosystem and proactive risk approach.

Recently hatched: The Next Generation Kurloo System

Our latest software release delivers more powerful integration.

  • Analyse correlations between your own instruments and Kurloo sensors side by side to resolve uncertainty sooner.
  • View 6D Movement Intelligence that's now fully integrated across Kurloo Nest and our mobile app, separating true ground movement from tilt, installation effects, and external influences in one view.
  • We've also added GeoSpan, a new virtual sensor type for monitoring deformation across the span between two physical sensors.

Spreading wings around the world

Kurloo is now pushing into North America though Bulson Surveying and Asset Assurance Monitoring. GEOCOM is supporting our work on Mining Tailings Dam and rail corridor monitoring in Chile. Global Survey in New Zealand and GPS Lands in Singapore continue to grow our presence in their regions in the civil infrastructure markets. And we have recently completed a full winter campaign of high-altitude landslide monitoring  with the University of Graz in the Austrian alps where the Kurloo flock continued to perform strongly, 24/7 and provide some excellent research and testing into GNSS performance with high altitude differential.

Australian Sales Team Changes

After nearly three years with our team, our highly respected Business Development Manager Amy Hooper, has decided to take some time away from Kurloo to pursue other goals. Amy was a valued member of our sales team and built strong relationships with our customers. For those who previously dealt with Amy, your new point of contact will be Mark Wallace. Mark has been with the company just on one year. He is equally knowledgeable about Kurloo and provides excellent service. Please reach out to mark.wallace@kurloo.io for your immediate enquiries.

What's coming next?

We'll be sharing more in the coming months on how mining and civil teams are closing their monitoring gaps in practice, and why defensibility is becoming a measure that matters. There are two live sessions on this topics in the works. We'll let you know the details once they're locked in.

If this strikes a chord with something you're working on, we'd welcome the conversation.
